REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />August 23, 1954 <br />Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />AUGUST 23RD, 1954 <br />Resubmitted herewith after further consideration by the Planning Commission is an ordinance providing for side <br />yard,- and setback regulations, as an amendment to the zoning ordinance. <br />Many suggestions of the Committee of the Whole have been incorporated in this proposal. Favorable action is <br />re commended. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />(Signed) Robert L. Huff, Secretary <br />Councilman Korpal moved that the Report of the Planning Commission be accepted and placed on file. Councilman <br />Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Korpal moved that this Ordinance be referred to the same Committee who previously studied it, namely, <br />Councilmen Hahn, Bestle, Glass, Muszynski and Korpal, to report back to the Council on September 13, 1954. <br />Councilman . Ni&zgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT,OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend,.Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Presented herewith is an ordinance to zone the land now owned and occupied by the Northern Indiana Children's <br />Hospital, which land was recently annexed to the City of South Bend, to "A" Residence District and_ "A" Height and <br />Area District. <br />This ordinance was legally advertised as required under date of August 9, 1954, and public hearing held under <br />date of August 19t, 19540 <br />Favorable action on this ordinance is respectfully recommended. <br />Very,-,truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />(Signed) Robert L. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4001 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMEDTDING ORDINANCE N0. 3702 COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS "THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA." <br />(Northern Indiana Children's Hospital) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass moved for suspension <br />of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Walter C. Erler Sr., Stanley Korpal, Michael <br />"Pinter, Cloyd Bestlg, Clem Niezgodski, Walter Glass, <br />William A. Hahn and Chester Muszynski. <br />NAYS: None. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote as follows: <br />ORDINANCE <br />AYES: Councilmen Walter C. Erler Sr., Stanley Korpal, Michael <br />Pinter, Cloyd Bestle, Clem Niezgodski, Walter Glass, <br />William A. Hahn and Chester Muszynski. <br />NAYS: None. <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING FROM R -251 REPAIRS <br />TO PUBLIC CITY SCALES $110.00 AND FROM R -252 REPAIRS TO EQUIPMENT <br />$150.00 AND FROM R -333 TIRES AND TUBES $40.00 TO R -726 OTHER <br />EQUIPMENT $300.00; FROM V -38 GENERAL SUPPLIES $725.00 TO H -58B <br />BUILDING CONTINGENCIES $725.00; FROM IV 261 OTHER CONTRACTUAL <br />SERVICES 0370.00 TO W -132 PLUIvBING EXAMINATIONS $50.00 AND TO <br />W-133 RAT EXTERMINATION $200.00 AND TO W-214 TELEPHONE AND <br />TELEGRAPH $120.00; FROM W -38 GENERAL SUPPLIES $750.00 AND FROM <br />W -334 OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES .1750.00 TO W -724 MOTOR <br />EQUIPMENT $1500.00; AND FROM K -11 SALARY OF ASSISTANT POUND <br />MASTER $812.00 TO K -11 SALARY OF POUND MASTER $812.00; ALL OF <br />THE BUDGET FOR 1954 OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INBI,ANA <br />AND DECLARING AN MAERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski moved that the <br />Ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for Public Hearing on September 13, 1954. Councilman Bestle <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />
