REGULAR MEETING REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION August 23, 1954 Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: AUGUST 23RD, 1954 Resubmitted herewith after further consideration by the Planning Commission is an ordinance providing for side yard,- and setback regulations, as an amendment to the zoning ordinance. Many suggestions of the Committee of the Whole have been incorporated in this proposal. Favorable action is re commended. Very truly yours, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION (Signed) Robert L. Huff, Secretary Councilman Korpal moved that the Report of the Planning Commission be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Korpal moved that this Ordinance be referred to the same Committee who previously studied it, namely, Councilmen Hahn, Bestle, Glass, Muszynski and Korpal, to report back to the Council on September 13, 1954. REPORT,OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION Common Council City of South Bend South Bend,.Indiana Gentlemen: Presented herewith is an ordinance to zone the land now owned and occupied by the Northern Indiana Children's Hospital, which land was recently annexed to the City of South Bend, to "A" Residence District and_ "A" Height and Area District. This ordinance was legally advertised as required under date of August 9, 1954, and public hearing held under date of August 19t, 19540 Favorable action on this ordinance is respectfully recommended. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4001 AN ORDINANCE AMEDTDING ORDINANCE N0. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS "THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA." (Northern Indiana Children's Hospital) The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass moved for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Councilmen Walter C. Erler Sr., Stanley Korpal, Michael "Pinter, Cloyd Bestlg, Clem Niezgodski, Walter Glass, William A. Hahn and Chester Muszynski. NAYS: None. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote as follows: ORDINANCE AYES: Councilmen Walter C. Erler Sr., Stanley Korpal, Michael Pinter, Cloyd Bestle, Clem Niezgodski, Walter Glass, William A. Hahn and Chester Muszynski. NAYS: None.
