REGULAR MEETING JULY 26TH, 1954 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3995 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN NAME <br />OF A PART OF VARSITY DRIVE AND HOLIDAY DRIVE <br />IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INIKANA. <br />(SWANSON CIRCLE) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a <br />motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of <br />8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3996 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND THE <br />SISTERS OF THE HOLY CROSS, INC., NOTRE DAME, <br />INDIANA, FOR FURNISHING SEWAGE TREATMENT <br />SERVICE. <br />The ordinance was -given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of <br />8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN AMENDED ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />COMMONLY KNO17N AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Two Side Yards) <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance be given third reading. Councilman Muszynski seconded <br />the motion. Motion Todtby a roll call vote of 1 aye (Eyler) - 7 nays (Korpal, Pinter, Best le, Niezgodski, <br />Glass, Hahn,and Muszynski). <br />g; <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE 3913 (AS <br />AMENDED) PROVIDING ADDITIONAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF <br />ELECTRICAL EXAMINING BOARD. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion <br />that the ordinance be held up until August 9th. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE-AMENDING SECTION 11 OF ORDINANCE N0. 3324 (AS <br />AMENDED) KNOWN AS THE MILK ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDDIANA BY THE ADDITION OF A PROVISION FOR INSPECTION <br />OF DAIRY FARMS AND MILK PRODUCTION PLANTS BEYOND THE LIMITS <br />OF ROUTINE INSPECTION OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH OF SOUTH BEND. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance be held up until August 9th and the City Attorney contact <br />the City of Rochester relative to this ordinance. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Councilman <br />Muszynski withdraws second to the motion. <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion for roll call vote on the ordinance. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. <br />Motion lost b roll call vote of 2 ayes ( Erler and Hahn) - 6 nays (Korpal, Pinter, Bestle, Niezgodski, Glass <br />and Muszynski�._ <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Report received from Traffic Engineer Ernest Miller explaining the reason for routing U.S. 20 traffic on East <br />LaSalle Ave. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Korpal seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Hahn made a motion to adjourn, which motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Muszynski.
