REGULAR MEETING <br />ORDINANCE N0. 3991 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENNNG ORDINANCE 3702 <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Northeast corner of Elm & Washington) <br />JULY 12TH, 1954 <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - <br />0 nays - 1 absent ('Councilman Pinter). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Councilman <br />Pinter). <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE MILLION DOLLARS <br />($1,000,000.00) TO BE APPLIED ON THE COST OF <br />CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF <br />STREETS, AND EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONNECTION <br />THEREWITH. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion that <br />the ordinance be set for public hearing on August 9th. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE' <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11 OF ORDINANCE N0. 3324 <br />(AS AMENDED) KNOWN AS THE MILK ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BY THE ADDITION OF A PROVISION FOR <br />INSPECTION OF DAIRY FARMS AND MILK PFDDUCTION PLANTS <br />BEYOND THE LIMITS OF ROUTINE INSPECTION OF THE BOARD OF <br />HEALTH OF SOUTH BEND. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion <br />that the ordinance be help up until July 26th. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN AMENDED ORDINANCE AMENDING ORXNANCE NO. 3702 <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Two Side Yards) <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the ordinance be held up until July 26th. Councilman Hahn seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDI NCE �e <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING DEALERS IN SCRAP OR JUNK <br />MATERIALS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING AND <br />REGULATION THEREOF; PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance be held up until July 26th. Councilman Muszynski seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance requiring that all fuel oil trucks <br />be metered so that the customer can receive a statement of the quantity of oil delivered at the time of delivery. <br />Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that a resolution be sent to the State Highway Commission requesting the <br />Commission to widen the Colfax Avenue bridge as a part of the current repair project. Councilman Hahn seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the Traffic Engineer appear at the next meeting of the Council on <br />July 26th to explain the reason for routing traffic on E. LaSalle Ave. Councilman Korpal,seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman. Hahn made a motion to adjourn, which motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Muszynski.
