C. <br />REGUTAR MEETING JULY 13TH, 1953 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the_City of South Bend, met in regular session in the Council <br />Chamber, Monday, July 13th, 19530 at 8:07 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Hahn. President <br />Erler presided. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />Meeting of June 22nd, 1953. <br />WALTER C. ERLER SR. ) Committee <br />STANLEY C. KORFAL ) <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />PETITION DIRECTED TO THE COMMON <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />The undersigned our hereby respectfully petition the Common Council to amend and supplement the present <br />zoning ordinance No. 3702 by the adoption of an ordinance zoning the following described real estate in the <br />City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, as "A" Residential District and "A" Height and Area <br />Districts <br />Beginning at point on the one - eighth (1/8) line 336 ft* <br />west of the Southeast corner of the North Half of the <br />Northeast Quarter section 5 T. 37 N. R. 3 East, which <br />point is the present pity limits; thence east 336 ft* to <br />the east line of said section 5 (center line of Hickory <br />Road); thence north along the east line of said section <br />5 a distance of 572.22 ft., to a point 737.15 ft., more <br />or less, south of the Northeast corner of section 5; <br />-thence west parallel with the north line of said section <br />5 a distance of 553.08 ft., more or less, to the present <br />city limits; thence south along the present city limits <br />a distance of 549.45 ft.; thence east along present city <br />limits a distance of 216948 ft, to a point 22.44 ft* north <br />of beginning; thence south 22.44 ft* to place of beginning. <br />Dated this 24 day of June, 1953• <br />LAND DEVELOPERS COMPANY, INC. <br />By: Virgil A. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City'of South Bend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of 0. R. Robertson for change of zoning of a tract of unplatted land on Lincolnway West has been <br />given public hearing before the City Plan Commission as advertised. <br />This change is not recommended. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Moomaw, Seoy. <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council. <br />City of South Bend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of Land Developers Co. Inoe for annexation of a 74 acre tract of land west of Hickory 140and south <br />of Edison Rde was considered by the City Plan Commission at their regular meeting on July 2, 1953. <br />The annexation of this area is approved by them* <br />Yours truly, <br />D.
