REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bendt <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance transferring funds from Q -11, Services Personal, <br />Fire Department, To Q -724, Motor Equipment, Fire Department, in the amount of $16,700904; an emergency appropria <br />of $3,200.00 from General Street and Traffic Fund to S -251, Repairs of Buildings and Structures, Street Depart- <br />ment, of the budget of 1953 of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the <br />Council as favorable. <br />W. Motion <br />carried. <br />REPORT FROM CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen::: <br />Petition of Portage Realty Corporation for change of zoning of a tract of unplatted land south of Elwood Ave. <br />and between the property owned by Drewrys' Ltd. U.S.A. Inc* and the right of way of the New York Central Ry. <br />from "B" residence and 'B" height and area districts to eU" Commercial and "D" height and area districts was <br />given public hearing before the City Plan Commission at their regular 'meeting June 4, 1953. <br />This change.is recommended. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Motion carried* <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3926 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF T -HE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AUTHORIZING <br />THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF BONDS OF SAID CITY FOR THE PURPOSE <br />OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO BE APPLIED ON THE COST OF ACQUISITION <br />OF THE NECESSARY LAND AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE COLLECTION AND <br />DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE IN SAID CITY, AND EXPENSES INCURRED IN <br />CONNECTION THEREWITH. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and assed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes (Councilmen Erler, Alford,.
