REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 9TH, 1953 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chamber, Monday, February 9th, 1953, at 8:35 P.M., with all members present. President Erler presided.. REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: YFour Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved. Meeting of January 26th, 1953, WALTER C. ERLER SR. ) w. A. HAHN ) Committee STANLEY C. KORPAL ) Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bestle seconded -the motion. Motion carried. COMMUNICATION City Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: February 3, 1953 The Common Council of the City of Goshen, Indiana, at its regular meeting held February 2, 1953 went on record as favoring the adoption of Eastern Standard Time on a year round basis. The following is a copy of the above mentioned action as the same is written in the minutes of said meeting. COUNCIL FAVORS ADOPTION OF EASTERN STANDARD TIME ON YEAR ROUND BASIS Councilman Baxter moved that'the Council go on record as favoring the adoption of Eastern Standard Time on a year round basis, and that the Clerk- Treasurer forward copies of this action to the City Councils of Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and South Bend, as well as to the members of the 1953 Assembly who represent our area.
