SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />August 21, 2013 <br />10:30 a.m. <br />Presiding: Raphael Thomas <br />14005 County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The August 21, 2013 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at <br />10:30 a.m. by its President, Raphael Thomas. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Mr. Ray Thomas, President <br />Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President <br />Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Redevelopment Staff: Mr. David Relos, Associate, Economic Resources <br />Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Larry Meteiver, Legal Counsel <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the minutes of June 19, 2013 <br />Upon a motion by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, seconded by Jose Alvarez, and unanimously <br />carried, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 19, 2013. <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Authority approval of Annual Financial information disclosure for U.S. Bank <br />National Association <br />John March submitted the Annual Financial information disclosures for U.S. <br />Bank National Association, and had stated that everything was in order financially <br />for the two bonds. Ms. Pfotenhauer stated that she would like his signature <br />verifying that everything was in order if he was not going to be at the meeting, <br />along with a paper trail. The members stated for the future they would like his <br />initials and a date showing he acknowledged everything was in order financially. <br />b. Upon a motion by Ms. Pfotenhauer, and seconded by Mr. Alvarez, the Authority <br />approved the Annual Financial information disclosure for U.S. Bank National <br />Association for the Eddy Street Commons bond and the Century Center bond. <br />C. Authority approval of settlement with DuPont for trees that were killed at <br />Blackthorn Corporate Park by using their weed killer Imprelis on the grass <br />Mr. Relos said this has been in process several year. About three years ago <br />evergreen trees across the country started dying from Imprelis use, and a suit was <br />
