REGULAR MEETING <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ALL PARKING METER FEES AND FUNDS <br />TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CIVIL CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE USES AND PURPOSES AND IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH CHAPTER 236 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE <br />STATE OF INDIANA OF 1945, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 303 OF THE <br />ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1951, <br />FEBRUARY 11TH. 1952 <br />774 <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion to refer the ordinance to the Ordinance Committee for further study and to <br />await figures from City Controller indicating the board's plan for spending the money. Councilman Hahn seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />The Council accepted the recommendation of City Attorney Hurwich that it abstain from attempting to legislate <br />against the sale of "torch" sweaters or other garments made from brushed rayon. <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the next regular meeting of the Council be held March 10th. Councilman <br />Alford seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the President appoint a special committee on Anti -Air Pollution, Councilman <br />Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion to give vote of thanks to the Boy Scouts for attending the Council meeting and <br />extended-an invitation to them to come at any time. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn, which motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Hahn.
