ING <br />DECEMBER 11TH, 1950 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the <br />Council Chamber, Monday, December 11th, 1950, at 8:12 P.M. with all members present. President Erler presided. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />Meeting of: November 27th, 1950. <br />W. C. ERLER, SR. ) <br />CLEM NIEZGODSKI ) Committee <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL ) <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the report be accepted as read. Councilman Kemper seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />STATE OF INDIANA ) SS: <br />COUNTY OF ST. JOSEPH ) <br />To the City Plan Commission of the City of South Bend: <br />The undersigned Louis Stoll and Florence Stoll, husband and wife, hereby petition for the change of zoning <br />classification of the following described real estate situated in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, <br />State of Indiana, to -wit: <br />Lots Numbered One (1) and Two (2) in Mayr's <br />Michigan Avenue Addition to the City .of South Bend, <br />from "B" use District and "A" Height and Area District, to "C" Commercial use District and "D" Height and Area <br />District, and in support of said petition respectfully show to your Honorable Body that they are the owners in <br />fee simple of said above described real estate, that said lots are situated in the middle of the block on the <br />north side of the 2100 block of Lincoln Way West between North Johnson Street on the east, and North O'Brien <br />Street on the west; that said lots are improved with a house and garage at this time; that the real estate on <br />Lincoln Way West in the block immediately east of said property is zoned commercial; that many of the lots in <br />the vicinity of the subject real estate are now used for commercial purposes. <br />WHEREFORE, petitioners pray that the City Plan Commission take appropriate action to effect said zoning changes <br />and file herein a proposed form of ordinance for submission to the Common Council. <br />Dated this 1 day of December, 1950. <br />(SIGNED) LOUIS STOLL <br />FLORENCE STOLL <br />By: Paul M. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Common Council''of the City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The South Bend Brewing Company respectfully asks that a change be made in the Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, by <br />rezoning the following property, that at present is zoned "B" residence and "A" height and area district, to -wit: <br />Lots 1, 2 and 3,in Rupel's Addition to the City of South Bend, <br />to "C" commercial and "E" height and area district, and respectfully shows that said property is located at the <br />southwest corner of the intersection of College Street and Lincolnway West, in the City of South Bend, is vacant <br />at the present time and unfit for a residence district, due to the fact that it is across the street from a <br />brewery building and immediately across the alley north of the bottling house; that the property south of it <br />and west of it is now zoned "C" commercial, and the property across the street to the north is "C" commercial. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />SOUTH BEND BREWING COMPANY <br />By: Paul E. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City.of South Bend <br />Gentlemen: <br />December 11, 1950 <br />The accompanying ordinance is for making certain changes in the Zoning Ordinance of South Bend. <br />The City Plan Commission has had public hearing on this ordinance and its passage is recommended. <br />D.
