...............::::::.::: ::::.:...........:............. .................. <br />... ........... :::...... ........::..................... <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 25TH, 1950 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the <br />Council Chamber, Monday, September 25th, at 8:20 P.M. with all members present. President Erler presided. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />Meeting of: September 11th, 1950 <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted. <br />carried. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />Mr. Walter C. Erler <br />President of the Common Council <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Erler and Members of the Common Council: <br />WALTER C. ERLER, SR. ) <br />CLEM NIEZGODSKI ) Committee <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL ) <br />Councilman Nie:zgodski seconded the motion. Motion <br />September 21, 1950 <br />I wish to P_xpress my appreciation for your consideration in granting the change of zoning on September 11, 1950 <br />of Lots 269 27 and 28 Bartlett's First Addition to the City of South Bend, from "B" residential and "C " height <br />and area district to 11C -11" commercial and "E" height and area district. <br />Personally I was primarily interested in the rezoning of Lot 26 for the benefit of the Doctors purchasing this <br />lot. <br />However I am sure the Doctors, and the other property owners, join me in thanking you and your Honorable Board, <br />for your consideration and approval of this change. <br />I also wish to thank Mary Viski in Mayme DuMont's City Clerks Office for the attention and assistance given me in <br />this office. <br />Yours Respectfully, <br />(Signed) Roy F. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />To the Members of the Common Council <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />rGentlemen <br />September 20, 1950 <br />We, the undersigned, owners of the fee' simple title to the following described real estate respectfully petition <br />the Common Council to rezone the same from "B" use district and "B " height and area district to "C " use district <br />and "F" height and area district: <br />All of Lots Numbered Six (6) and Seven (7), including the alley between <br />the same heretofore vacated, of Burrough's Sub - division to the City of ` <br />South Bend, Indiana, excepting the south thirty -six (36) feet of both <br />lots Six (6) and Seven (7) and that portion of the vacated alley between <br />the same, which excepted portion is now zoned "C" use district and "F" <br />height and area district. <br />For your information, the above described real estate is a small parcel situated on the west side of Williams <br />Street between the Welsheime# Funeral'Home and short Navarre Street. <br />(Continued) <br />
