Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION To the Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: December 2, 1949 At their regular meeting on December 1, 1949, the City Plan Commission gave further consideration to the ordinance for change of zoning of Lot #262 in Vassar Park Addition as returned to them by the Council at their November 14th meeting. After considering the action of the Council and the reasons given therefor a motion was made and seconded that the City Plan Commission reaffirm their previous action on this change and does not recommend the change. Motion carried 8 to 0. Attached hereto is a written remonstrance against this change containing the signatures of 238 residents and property owners in that vicinity. CITY PLAN COMMISSION D. Moomaw, Seely. Councilman Korpal made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. (Lot No. 2620 Vassar Park Addition) The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 6 ayes - 2 nays (Eyler and Bestle). Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion was lost on a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 1 nay ( Erler). Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole on January 9th, 1950. Councilman Kemper seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance and petition be held in @council for further investigation. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. MOTION Councilman Kemper made a motion for a five minute recess. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried, and Council recessed at 8:45 P.M. After a five minute recess, the meeting continued.
