<br />You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in as as Mayor of the City of South
<br />Bend, in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to most
<br />in the Council Chamber, in the City Hall at the hour of 7sOO o'clock P.M. Central Standard Time, on Tuesday,
<br />.August 2, 1949, for the purpose of considering and acting upon the following ordinances, to -nits
<br />"AN ORDINANCE APPRO7PRIATING MONEYS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING
<br />THE EXPENSES OF ALL BUDGET-OPERATED DEPARTMENTS OF THE CIVIL
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
<br />JANUARY 1, 1950, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1950, INCLUDING
<br />DEPARTMENTS, FUNDS AND COMMISSIONS FOR WHICH MONEY IS
<br />APPROPRIATED, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM FUNDS OTHER THAN THE
<br />GENERAL FUNDS OF SAID CITY, TO -WITS STREET, TRAFFIC AND PARE
<br />DEPARTMENTS, FIREMEN'S PENSION AND POLICEMEN'S PENSION FUNDS#
<br />AND THE CITY PLAN COMMISSIONs PROVIDING THAT SUCH APPROPRIATIONS
<br />SHALL. INCLUDE ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIBATIONSs FIXING
<br />THE SALARIES OF ALL CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEESs REPEALING ALL
<br />ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITHs
<br />PROVIDING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT."

<br />"AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1950 FOR THE
<br />MM -CIPAL CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.'
<br />The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Force is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this
<br />notice on each and every member of the Common Council and make due return-of such service of said Special
<br />Meeting.

<br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion
<br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for Public Hearing on August 29th. Councilman
<br />Kemper seconded the motion. Motion carriod.
