<br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />APRIL 12th, 1948
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: April 12th, 1948
<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred an Ordinance transferring money from Account Number T -726,
<br />Traffic Signals and other Equipment, Board of Public Works and -Safety - Traffic Department, to Account Number
<br />T -724, Motor Equipment, Board of Public Works and Safety - Traffic Department $180.50, and declaring an extra-
<br />ordinary emergency.
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be reported
<br />to the Council as favorable.

<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, of the following amounts to the following indicated accounts of the 1947
<br />Budget, Fire Department, Q -222, Gas Service at Fire Stations, $105.20; Fire Department, Q -331, Gasoline,
<br />5185.48; Police'Department, P -331, Oil, 121.15; and appropriating from the General Street and Traffic Fund
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, of the following amounts to the following indicated accounts of the 1947
<br />Budget: Street Department, S -252, Repairs to Equipment, $102.41; Street Department, S -262, Medical and
<br />Surgical, 1100.00; Street Department, S -331, Gasoline, $2810.66, and declaring an emergency.
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be
<br />reported to the Council as favorable.

<br />REPORT OF THE CMNITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: April 12th, 1948
<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 966, adopted May 13, 1895,
<br />entitled as a general codifying ordinance, by adding a new section thereon in reference to blocking of street
<br />crossings by railroad °train -or cars to be known as Section 273T1/2, and oreseribi- 4- penalties.
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance be referred to
<br />the Ordinance Committee..for further study and report to the Council at their meeting on May 10th.

<br />Petition of Helen Co Kohen for change of zoning classification of Lots 1, 2 and 3 in John Adams 1st Addition
<br />was considered by the City Plan Commission at their regular meeting April lst, 1947.

<br />The accompanying ordinance is for the zoning of a portion of the territory annexed to the City by Ordinance
<br />3602.
<br />This Ordinance originated in the City Plan Commission and is approved by them for consideration by the Council.
<br />The land described is a triangular tract bounded by Edison Road on the north, South Bend Avenue on the south-
<br />easterly side and extends West 324.37 feet from the intersection of the centerlines of Edison Road and South
<br />Bend Avenue,
