<br />Be it remembered'- -that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the
<br />Council Chambers, City Hall, March 8th, 1948, at 7 :30 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Richardson.
<br />President Niezgodski presided at the meeting. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
<br />COMMUNICATION
<br />A letter was received from members of Post 303 regarding insects destroying maple trees in certain sections of
<br />the vicinity. Councilman Erler made a motion that Mr. Lisle McNabb, Superintendent of the Park Department, and
<br />two members of the Board, appear at the next meeting of the Council. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
<br />Motion carried. The-Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. McNabb and two members of the Board to appear at the
<br />next Council meeting,to'be held March 22nd, 1948.

<br />side, Byler Place and Place, Blyler Place and Riverside Drive, On Byler Place between Culver and Riverside,
<br />Ga-*&' Place and Culver Placa, Harris and Danham Streets, Bryan and Sherman Streets, Bryan and Inglewood Place, Beale
<br />Street and Inglewood Place, Beale Street and Sherman Street, Roosevelt Street and Inglewood Place, Rose Street and
<br />Inglewood Place,'Roosevelt Street and Sherman, Beverly and Berkley Streets, Inglewood and Lathrop Streets,- Crumstown

<br />Mr. Quails also informed the Board that street-lights ordered in at Indiana-and Pulaski Streets, Pulaski and
<br />Calvert Streets, Washington and Esther Streets, Suunnyside and Sorin Streets,-Portage and King Streets, the alley
<br />intersection between Colfax and Washington and St. Peter and Notre Dame Ave., seven lights between Sheridan Street
<br />and Gladstone Street and Ford Street and Sample Street, Elwood and Meade Streets and Fremont and Bulla Streets,
<br />Johnson-and Elwood Streets, On Walnut at the alley intersection South of Fassnacht Street, Colfax and Spruce
<br />Streets, between Michigan and Main at Dayton Street, St. Joseph and Dabail# Woodside and High Streets, On
<br />Twyokenham Drive between Fairview and Eckman, In the alley at the rear of Hillerest Road, and changing 1000
<br />lumen lights at Sunnyside and Washington and Jacob and Washington Streets to 4000 lumen lights, had all been
<br />installed and are now in service.

<br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION
<br />To the Common Council March 5, 1948
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />Petition of Arthur J. Eckman, et al, for change of zoning classification of Lets 60 61, 62 and 63 in Queensboro
<br />Addition was considered by the City Plan Commission at its regular meeting March 4th.
<br />The City Plan Commission recommends this change and that the zoning of these lots be made "C" Commercial and "E"
<br />Height and Area Districts.
