REPORT.:OF THE 'COMMITTEE:OF THE WHOLE <br />To The Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Gentlemen: <br />June 23rd, 1947 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred an Ordinance transferring money from the General Fund of the <br />City of South Bend and appropriating said sum for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary item, to -wit: <br />Te`P- 724, Motor Equipment, Police Department, 15,000.00 and declaring an emergency. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance shall be <br />reported to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the report be accepted. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC MIMS AND SAFETY: <br />Members of the Common Council, <br />City Hall, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: <br />1% J. Richardson, Chairman <br />Councilman Mirocha seconded the motion. <br />June 20, 1947. <br />The petition for a street light at the intersection of-Meade and Napier Streets, handed to the Board by your <br />Honorable Body, has been referred to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. <br />Mr. Qualls informed the Board that the light ordered in on Ironwood Drive at the entrance to the Ball park <br />has been installed and is now in service. <br />Upon`Mr.�.Qalls recommendation, the Board directed that a light be ordered in at the intersection of Victoria <br />and St. Joseph Streets. <br />Very truly yours, <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC AURKS AND SAFETY <br />James P.
