Be it remembered that the Common Council of the-City of South'Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session, in <br />the Council Chambers, City Hall, June 9th, 1947, at 8 :05 P.M.., with all members present except Councilman <br />McCarthy. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived. President Brannan presided. <br />COMONICATION <br />A communication from William E. Yoor, Attorney for The Housing Authority of The City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />dated June 4th, 1947, was read by the Clerk. <br />Councilman Bishop made a motion that the communication be referred to the Mayor, with instructions that he <br />call a meeting of the Council, at his convenience, in order to discuss this matter further. <br />Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />To The Common Council of the City of ,South Bend: May 27th, 1947. <br />Gentlemen;. <br />We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to improve the lighting condition <br />on Meade and Napier Street, by installing a light on the corner of Meade and Napier Streets. <br />Yours respectfully, <br />(48 Signerrs) <br />Councilman Niezgodski, made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />To The Common Council of-the City of South Bend. <br />Gentlemen: <br />We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to improve Sibley Street from Wilbur <br />Street to College Street, by the construction of concrete payment. <br />Yours respectfully, <br />(18 Signers) <br />Councilman Bishop made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />We, the undersigned, petition your honorable body to change the robing from Residential to Commercial, <br />2204 Pleasant Street, Lot +53 -O.P. ( 2 Signers) and (33 ftgners) <br />Councilman Bishop made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman <br />Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE' COMMITTEE OF::TBE WHO%E <br />To The Common Council of the City. of'South Bend: June 90 1947. <br />Your Committee of the 'Whole, to vhom was referred an ordinance transferring monies from the General Fund of the <br />City of South Bend and appropriating said sums for the uses and purposes of the following Budgetary Items', <br />to wit: To H251, Repair of Building; To H51 Insurance; declaring an emergency. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance shall be <br />reported to the Council as favorable. <br />Wm J. (Wooded Estate4) <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance shall.be <br />reported to the Council as favorable. <br />Wm J.
