REGULAR MEETING - contd OCTOBER 14, 1946. <br />REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WRKS AND SAFETY <br />October 79 1946. <br />Members of the Common Council, <br />City Hall, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />i <br />Gentlemen <br />Enclosed please find a copy of the recommendation of Mr. Qualls for the installation of a street light at the I� <br />intersection of Elwood Avenue and Kaley Stree-r. The above was approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />I <br />A petition asking for the installation bf a street light on South Blain Street between the 1600 and the 1700 block, <br />was received by the Board and referred to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. <br />Very truly yours, <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC ADRKS AND SAFETY <br />James P. Conboy, Clerk <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Brennan made a motion that the Board of Public Works and Safety be asked to look up the petitions <br />for street lights at 24th & Hastings and 34th & North Shore Drive and turn them over to Mr. Qualls for <br />investigation, and that a report be made to the Council at the next meeting. Councilman Bishop seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. Councilmal Hull made a motion that the Ordinance be <br />set for Public Hearing on October 28th, 1946, at 7 :30 P.M. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the Ordinance <br />be set for Public Hearing on October 28th, 1946, at 7:30 P.M.
