F1416 <br />II FEBRUARY 25th, 1946 Contd <br />RESOLUTION: <br />WHEREAS, The State of Indiana is about to construct a hospital for the care and treatment of crippled <br />children, and <br />7EMEAS, said hospital is to be erected in the northern part of the State, and <br />VEEREAS, good and advantageous locations for such hospital are to,be found within the city limits of <br />South .6end, Indiana, and <br />TEEREAS, the people in the City of South - -Bend, Indiana, are desirous of offering their own hospitality <br />and help in addition.to the care and treatment which may be afforded such crippled children. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the proper <br />persons and authorities be advised that the City of South 'end, Indiana, through its Mayor and its <br />Common Council, invite the use of all of the city's facilities and extend the hospitality of all of its <br />citizens for and on behalf of the crippled children of the State and respectfully request and urge the <br />selection of South Bend as the site for the new crippled children's hospital, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent by the Clerk of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, to the Governor and to the members of the Governor's Committee for the selection of a site for <br />such hospital. <br />GEORGE H. HEIDEMAN <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Councilman Bishop made a motion that the Resolution be adopted. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: <br />THAT,the members of the Common Council are all very happy over the fact that their fellow member, <br />Councilman George Hull, is making a satisfactory recovery from his recent illness, and <br />THAT, he has been greatly missed at the Council Meetings, and <br />THAT, all members of the Council are looking forward to his early return to the Council Meetings. <br />(Signed by.all members of the Common Council) <br />Councilman Richardson, made,a motion that the Resolution be adopted. Councilman Bishop seconded the <br />motion.
