ORDINANCE N0, 3399 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION OF $80.92 AND FOR THE TRANSFER THEREOF <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA TO AN ACCOUNT KNOWN AS D -99 <br />BEING THE OFFICE EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT OF THE CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: ALSO, FOR THE EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION OF $129.42 AND FOR THE TRANSFER THEREOF <br />FROri THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA TO AN ACCOUNT KNOWN AS D -60 <br />BEING THE REPAIR AND RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT OF THE CITY TREASURER OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3401 <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE YEAR 1941 OF ACCOUNT NOt D -7, BEING THE <br />OFFICE SUPPLY ACCOUNT OF THE SOUTH BEND CITY TREASURER, IN THE AMOUNT OF $210.34. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for the suspension of rules. The <br />motion was carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a <br />roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING THE CURRENT OBLIGATIONS (INTEREST ITEM) AND MATERIALS (REPAIR PARTS, <br />TOOLS AND MACHINERY) BUDGETARY ITEMS PROVIDED FOR IN THE 1941 BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC PARKS FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />Niezgodski, the ordinance was referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on November 10th. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />PARKS OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. , <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Pulaski made a motion to refer the ordinance to the <br />Committee of the Whole for public hearing on November 10th. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT AND THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE YEAR 1941, AND TRANSFERRING THE AMOUNT SO REDUCED TO THE GENERAL FUND. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading and referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on <br />November 10th, on motion of Councilman Brannan, seconded by Councilman Pulaski. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion to refer the ordinance to the <br />Committee of the Whole for public hearing on November 10th. Councilman Pulaski seconded the motion. Motion carried' <br />ORDINANCE 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL.FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion to refer the ordinance to the <br />Committee of the Whole for public hearing November 10th. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion.- Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 340.2• <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF ALL OF THE RIGHT, TITLE, AND INTEREST OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, IN AND TO ANY BONDS,-COUPONS, AND/oR ASSESSMENTS HERETOFORE <br />ISSUED UNDER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1544, APPROVED OCT. 6, 1925, COVERING ASSESSMENT <br />ROLL'NO. 1952, THE FAIRVIEW -MAIN STREET TRUNK SEWER. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for the suspension of rules. <br />Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. The ordinance <br />was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND ($10,000.00) FROM TITS AMOUNT APPROPRIATED <br />FOR WPA AND PWA IN THE 1941 BUDGET UNDER ACCOUNT H -27 FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO <br />SPECIAL WPA A /C. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,. Indiana. <br />That. the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) be and the same is hereby allocated from Account H -27, Department <br />of Public Works in the 1941 Budget to Special WPA account, and that this amount so allocated by the Common Council <br />may be used 'during the year 1941, for the purchase of materials, labor and other items chargeable to the various <br />City WPA projects subject to the approval of the Board of Works. The amount so allocated shall be deducted from <br />the amount of One Hundred Fifty -Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($158,500.00) appropriated in the 1941 Budget <br />under Account H -27, Department of Public Works. <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion for the adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Bishop seconded th& motion. Moti <br />carried. <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CARE OF CERTAIN LOTS IN THE CITY CEMETERY IN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />Whereas, there are certain lots in the City Cemetery in the City of South Bend, Indiana, for which no provision for <br />perpetual care has been made; And, <br />
