Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council <br />Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, February 10, 1941, at 7:45 P.M. with all members present. President Richardson pre- <br />sided. Motion carried. <br />February 10 -1941 <br />he attached data constitutes a preliminary report of the Citizens' Housing Committee appointed by the Honorable Jess <br />. Pavey, Mayor, on December 24th, 1940, pursuant to the authorization of the Common Council. <br />is to be emphasized that this is a preliminary report, and you will observe that the various data have been pre - <br />ted objectively, and without inference or conclusion. Other aspects of the problem, which were included in the <br />eral study of this Committee, will be reported to you briefly by Mr. William E. Voor, as spokesman for the <br />mittee. <br />Committee wishes to express its-grateful appreciation to the following persons for the excellent cooperation and <br />ity of work manifested in the preparation of the data: <br />the Honorable Jesse I. Pavey for his cooperation in making available the services of Mr. Clare E. Pittman of the <br />ty Plan Commission, to Professor John J. Cronin of the Department of Social Work, University of Notre Dame for teat <br />cal supervision of the project, and to Mr. John J. Reddy, graduate student of the University of Notre Dame, who <br />ted as general assistant to Mr. Cronin and Mr. Pittman.
