Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO.,3 3,57 <br />AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF CENTER STREET TO COLUMBUS COURT <br />(This ordinance was given third reading and was adopted by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 1 nay (Heideman) - 1 absent. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3-5-6-J' <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION SEVEN OF ORDINANCE NO., 3351 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE <br />LICENSING AND REGULATING PARKING STATIONS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND <br />LICENSING AND REGULATING PARKING STATION OPERATORS. - <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Hull made a motion for suspension of rules. The motion <br />was carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent. <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE SUM OF TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND ($25,000.00) FROM THE AMOUNT <br />APPROPRIATED FOR WPA AND PWA IN THE 1941 BUDGET UNDER ACCOUNT NO. H -27, DEPARTMENT <br />OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SPECIAL WPA ACCOUNT.- <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />That the sum of Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00)be and the same is hereby allocated from Account H -27, <br />Department of Public Works in the 1941 Budget to Special WPA Account, and that this amount so allocated by the Comm <br />Council may be used during the year 1941, for the purchase of materials, labor and other items chargeable to the <br />various City WPA projects subject to the Approval of the Board of Works. The amount so allocated shall be deducted <br />from the amount of One Hundred Fifty -Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($158,500.00), appropriated in the 1941 <br />Budget under Account H -27, Department of Public Works. <br />Councilman Hull made a motion for the adoption of the resolution.Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 7 ayes - 1 nay (Niezgodski) - 1 absent. <br />Councilman Jordan brought to the attention of the Council certain conditions existing in the vicinity,of Emerson Ave. <br />where dumping is being done on private property. Councilman Bishop made a motion that the Board of Health and the <br />Board of Safety take action against the user of the property to see that it is cleaned and kept in an sanitary condi- <br />tion. After investigation, a report is to be made to the Council. Councilman Pulaski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion for <br />the motion. Motion carried.
