133 <br />E IT RESOLVED: That the Civic Planning Association, name the individuals to whom such reference <br />s made and offer a public apology to those members of the police force, to whom the statement <br />oes not apply. <br />E IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Civic Planning Association, who has in the past attacked the <br />olice departmentIs efficiency and who still is reluctant in endorsing the efficiency of the <br />olice department; make its attitude clear to the people of this city. <br />E. the members of the Saint Joseph Valley Lodge #36, Fraternal Order of Police do hereby resent <br />he statement as made by the Civic Planning Association, in the South Bend Tribune, Saturday, <br />une 3, 1939. And demand a public apology because, we feel that the statement has placed us in <br />bad light with the public of this city, whom we have served faithfully and efficiently in the <br />ast and whom are will continue to serve in that manner in the future. <br />(Signed) Stephen J.
