42 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3250 Ps amended <br />An Ordinance to amend ordinance No. 3221 as emended passed by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, August 9, 1937 and approved end signed by the Hon. George W. Freyermuth, Mayor <br />of the Uity of South Bend, Indiana, August 11, 1937, licensing and establishing regulations <br />for those engaged in promoting_ Putomobile and motorcycle recing within the City of South Bend <br />Indiana. . <br />The ordinance was given its first reeding by title, its second reading in full and on motion <br />of Councilman Fish was referred to the Ordinance Committee which will meet immediately and te-- <br />port tonight. CcoancilmPn James seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Recessed for Ordinance Committee_- 10:05 P. M. <br />Regular meeting continued at 10:10 P. M. <br />Councilman Chambers moved for amendment to Ordinance - after grandstand fourtq line Section 5 <br />add "and the licensee to maintain police supervision to keep this area clear of spectators." <br />Council,iPn Fish seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Roll ;call on suspension of rules - Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Chembers, <br />Rasmussen and Palicki. 9 ayes. 0 nays. Rules suspended. <br />The ordinance was given its third reading by title Pnd was placed upon its pessage and passed <br />by the following vote: Hull, Goetz ,,Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Chambers, Rasmussen a.nd Palicki. <br />8 ayes. Fish 1 nay. ' O'rdiriance adopted as emended. <br />There being no further business Councilman Kerner moved to adjourn. Councilman Rasmussen <br />seconded the mctiori. Motion carried.
