1507 <br />(CONTINUED FROM PAGE 5o4) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3227 <br />An Ordinance appropriating monesy for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the seven 1 <br />departments of the city government of the City of South Bend, Indiana., for the fiscal year begin <br />ping January 1, 193, and ending December 31, 193, including all outstanding claims and oblige - <br />tions, and fixing a time when the same shall take effect. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on <br />motion of Councilmen Chambers was referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on <br />August 23rd, 1937. Councilman Hull seconded the motion. <br />Councilmen James moved to amend Councilman Chambers' motion to read that said ordinance be re- <br />ferred back to the Finance Committee. Councilman Bierwagen seconded the motion. <br />Councilmen Hull moved for roll call on the amendment. Hull, Kerner, Chambers, Rasmussen tend <br />Palicki - 5 Rays. Bierwagen, James and Fish - 3 ayes. Motion on amendment lost. <br />Councilman Hull moved for roll cell on original motion. Hull, Bierwagen, Kerner, Chambers, <br />Rasmussen, and Palicki - 6 ayes. Ordinance goes to the Committee of <br />the Whole for public he ==ring on August 23rd, 1937• <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3229 <br />An Ordinance fixing the Tax Levy for the year 1938 for the Municipal Civil City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading_ by title, its second reading in full and on <br />motion of Councilmen Hull was referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on <br />August 23rd, 10,37. Councilman Chambers seconded the motion. <br />Councilman James moved to amend Councilman Chambers' motion to read that said -ordinnn_ce be re- <br />ferred back to the Finance Committee. N0. 3229 <br />An Ordinance appropriating the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) from the General Fund <br />of the Q`ity of South Bend to Account L -10 under the Engineer's Office for gasoline for the <br />balance of the year 1.937. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on <br />motion of Councilmen Rasmussen was referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing <br />on August 23rd, 1937. Councilman Chambers seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Chambers moved to adjourn. Councilman Hull seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried.
