Councilman Goetz seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3175. <br />An Ordinance appropriating certain sums from the General Fund or operating balance in the <br />Department of Public Parks in the City of South Bend, Indiana, td certain_ subdivisions in said <br />department and transferring certain sums from subd,Jsions in said department to other subdivisions <br />in the same department, Pll as hereinafter set out. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on motion <br />of Councilman Hull was referred to the Committee of the 6hole end also that a public hearing be <br />held July 6th, 1936. Motion carried. <br />Councilman James moved that the department heeds be present July 6th, to P-ive reason for appro- <br />priations. <br />RESOLUTIONS: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That it shall be the sense of this Honorable Body that the Indiana State Legislature, con- <br />vening in January, 1937 be memoralized and requested to introduce in siarllegislature an act to <br />anreal the net combining the Boards of Public Works and Safety as affecting second class cities <br />in sn.id State end to reinact the statute creating separate Boards of Works and Safety composed <br />of three members each b- partisan in membership and with ell of-the other rights and privileges <br />eccruing to said Board as pursuant to the provisions of the statute. <br />
