hO <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA <br />Office of City Controller MaYll, 1936 <br />To the Members of the Common Council of the City Of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Regarding the Controller's recommendation for passage of Appropriation Ordinance #x-'157: <br />I am making-a conditional recommendation of the passage of this Ordinance for the reason <br />that there is now in the fund against which this appropriation would be charged-, inn insufficient <br />u lo ; <br />amount to.py out the whole� of the Topriat-ton asked _ for. The balance available in the Park <br />i <br />Ma ntenence Fund as of April 30, was V,519-58, after -8n advance of $20.,000.00 from Spring Tazes. <br />It is my duty ss Controller to keep the Cduncil advised as to the amount offunds, available for <br />the various purposes for which the Council appropriates money. The Park Board-members- have <br />- <br />assured -the Mayor -snd myself that- sufficient funds will be available for this appropriation be <br />fore they are needed by reason of an increase in the receipts from park activities. With that <br />statement in mind, I am recommending -the passage of the Ordinance. It is only fair to say, <br />however, that if sufficient funds,-become available, the money will be paid out -on-- proper requist- <br />tions from the PP-rk Board. Moticn Carried. <br />ORDTKANCE NO. 3157 <br />An Ordinance appropriating the sum of Seven Thousand Four--Hundred -end'Ntnety —one Dollars <br />($7,.491.00) from the General Fund of the Department of Public Parke of the City of South Bend, <br />I n d m <br />e of Estate and material for its Riverside <br />-t P <br />is: - to said Department for the Durchas f' % <br />Parkway Project. <br />The Ordinance was given its third reading by title and wee placed upon its passage,and <br />passed by the following vote: Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Chambers, Rasmussen <br />and Palicki. Ayes 9 Nays t Ordinance adopted. <br />- ORDINANCE NO - 3158 <br />An Ord-inence to amend Ordinance No. 2331 adopted June 25, 1923, eommonly known es "Zoning <br />Ordinande", by changing a certain described tract from the 110.0 Commercial District to the "Dif <br />Light Industrial District, and subjecting the same to the provisions of.Sections VI end XIV of <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br />The Ordinance was-given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on <br />motion of Councilman Hull was referred to the Zoning Board* Councilmen Goetz seconded the motion <br />Motion carried.• <br />There being no further business, Councilmen Hull made a motion to adjourn. Councilfften Goetz <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. Council adjourned at 9:40 P. M. <br />APP <br />
