MINUTES <br />Be it Remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the <br />Regular Session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening May 27th, 1935, at <br />the hour of 7 :45 o'clock P. M. All Members present except Councilman Palicki. Council_,�nian <br />• <br />Hull presided. Councilman James moved that the minutes of the last meeting be dispensed withi <br />Councilman Rasmussen, seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />NOTICE OF CITY CLERK'S CERTIFICATE OF PROOF OF PU71ICATI --N OF NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS. <br />In the matter determining additional appropriations for extra Clerk in Controllers office <br />and to pay for the examination for Electrical Inspector. To employ a stenographer in the <br />Board of Public Works. Also to defray traveling expenses for Police officers and Fire Chief on <br />trips in behalf of the City. <br />South Bend, Indiana, tiay 27th, 1935 <br />I, Mary B. D. Motion carried <br />REPORT OF THE COMMIT'T'EE OF THE WHOLE. <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Thole to whoa; was referred an Ordinance amending Sections 6, 11, 172 <br />24, %9, 42 and 46 of an Ordinance Numbered 2652, being an Ordinance regulating the production, <br />grading, labeling, handling, pasteurization, distribution and sale of milk, cream and certain <br />milk products and providing for issuing permits and licenses therefor. Respectfully report <br />that they have examined the :matter and that in their opinion the said Ordinance should be re- <br />ported Favorable by adding "b" to Section I, 'Any person living within the corporation liits <br />df the (City of South Bend, Indiana. - <br />By order of Doctors perscription can have delivered to their home, hotel or hospital certified <br />raw goats milk. <br />Copy of perscription to be filed with Board of Health for their records.' Striking out Sectioni <br />II. Writing the word "Bottled" before milk in (m) of Section III. Striking out (a) in Section <br />V. Striking out (b) in Section VI. Striking out Section VII and amending Section 42 or <br />ori�4.inal Ordnance read as follows: The Board of Health shall appoint qualified persons as Milk <br />Inspectors who shall hold office at their tleasure. They shall receive such compensation as <br />may be fixed by the Board of Health, the same to be paid out of the annual Board of Health <br />appropriation. Theyshall be the Board of Health's representatives in all matters pertaining <br />to milk and dairy inspection and they shall perform such duties and shall have such powers and <br />authority in making of inspections under this Ordinance as may from time to time be prescribed <br />by the Board of Health. Ordinance adopted.- <br />Ordinance No • 13 09 <br />An Ordinance transferring the sum of $577.50 from the Police Salaries Fund P -1 to the <br />Salaries and Wages Regular F-.and 0-4 for the emplayment of a stenographer in the Board of Public <br />Works and Safety Office and appropriating the sum of $577.50 from said. Fund 0 -4 for said pur- <br />pose. Also transferring the sum of $300.00 from the Police Salaries rund Account P -1 to the <br />Police Travelling Expenses Account P -7 for the purpose of defraying expenses of Police Officers <br />trips on behalf of said city, and appropriating the sum of $300:00 from "said account P -7 for <br />said purpose.
