Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE. <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend. <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom wps referred Pn Ordinance ratifying a contr2ct entered <br />into by and between the City of South Bend, Indiana through its Board of Public Works and the <br />Indiana Pnd Mxichigan Electric Compeny on April 15, 1935. Respectfully report that they heve <br />examined the matter -Pnd th?t in their opinion the said Ordinance should be reported Favor2ble. <br />William Bierwagen., Cheirm?n, the report was accepted by the Council. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1107 <br />An Ordinance rptifying e contract entered into be and between the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana through its Board. of Public Works and the Indiana and Michigrn Electric Company on April <br />15, 1935• <br />The Ordinance was given its third reading by title, end placed upon_ its passage ?nd passed <br />by the following vote: Goetz, Bierwaven, Ja~ries, Kerner, Fish, Rasmussen, Chambers end Palicki. <br />Ayes 5 Nays 0. Ordinance Adopted. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />An Ordinance transferring the sum of $300.00 from advertising and Public Notices Account <br />Temporary B -8 —A to Salaries end Wages Account B -3 —A for an,.'edditionel clerk in the Controller's <br />Office. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second rending in full and on <br />Motion of Councilmen Chambers was referred to the Committee of the Whole, also thet P Public <br />hearing be held-May 27th, 1935 Pt 7 :30 P. M. Moti ^n carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />An Ordinance trensferrin the sum of $577.50,from the Police Salaries Fund P -1 to the Salar- <br />ies and Wages Regular Fund Q— for the Employment of e stenographer in the Board of Public Works <br />end Safety Office and appropriating the sum of $577.50 from said Fund Q -4 for said purpose. <br />Also Transferring the sum of $300.00 from the Police Salaries Fund Account P -1 to the Police <br />Travelling Expenses Account P -7 for the purpose of Defraying expenses of Police Officers Trips <br />on behalf of said City, end appropriating the sum of $300.00 from said Account P -7 for seid <br />purpose. Also transferring the sum of 0200,00 from the-Fire Department Fund for other Equip- <br />ment, Account Q -17 to Account for Travelling, in the Fire Department Q- 15— A,.and appropriating <br />the sum of $200.00 from said Account Q -15 —A for seid purpose. <br />The Ordinance was -given its first reading by title, its second reeding in full end on <br />Motion of Councilman Goetz was referred to the Committee of the Whole, =lso that a Public hear- <br />ing be held M?y 27th, 1935 at 7:30 P. Moticr_ carried. <br />ORDINANCE N0: <br />An Ordinance appropriating the sum of $25.00 from the Generel Fund of the City of South <br />Bend to pay for the examinatinn for electrical inspector in pursuance to the Building Code bn <br />the 4th day of Febru^ry 1935. <br />The ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full end on <br />Motion of Councilmen Goetz was referred to the Committee of the Whole, also that a Public Hear- <br />ing be held May 27th, 1935 rt 7:30 P. M. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />An Ordinance to Govern end regulate Automobile Racing within the City of South Bend, Ind. <br />The Ord.inpnce was given its first reading by title, its second, reading in full and on <br />Motion of Councilman Chambers w?s referred to the Committee of the thole, <br />RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILTAN FRED G. KERNER. <br />Authorizing the sale of personal property belonging to the City of <br />South Bend, and, finding that the property is worth less then <br />$100.00, and authorizing the Board of Public Safety, through its <br />Officers, to make sale of seid property at the most available price <br />thereof to the highest and best bidders for cash and to turn the <br />proceeds thereof into the General Funds of said City. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COnt?viON COUNCILof the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />SECTION r.
