Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE-NO, <br />An Ordinance amending Sections 6, 11, 17, 24, 26, 29, and 46 of an Ordinance Numbered <br />2692, being ?n Ordinance regulating the production, grading, labeling, handling, pasteurizatinn <br />distribution and sale of milk, cream end certain mik products and providing for issuing per- <br />mits end licenses therefor. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in 'full and on <br />Motion of Councilmen Chambers was referred to the Committee of the Whole, also Board of Health <br />to be present at meeting. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION. <br />RESOLUTION <br />Whereas the Congress of the United States has designated October the eleventh of etch <br />year as a National Holid ?y for the purpose of commemmorating General Pul ^ski, a distinguished, <br />soldier of the Revolutionary War; and, <br />Whereas a l?rge proportion of the Citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana are of <br />Polish extraction end, <br />Where?s Representative Samuel B. Pettengill, of the Third Congressional District materia.113 <br />aided in procuring the passage of the Resolution designating October eleventh of each year <br />as r National Holidry. <br />Now Therefore Be It Resolved by the Common Council of the 1!unicipal City of South Bend <br />that we do hereby commend the Congress of the United Stetes for its recognition of the Va.li2nt <br />Service rendered-by the distinguished Polish General. <br />And Be It further Resolved that a copy of the resolution be forrarded to the Honorable <br />Samuel B. Pettengill end I. K. Werwinskt as 2 token of appreciation of the citizens of South <br />Bend, Indiana for their services in lending_ aid and support to the 2d.option of the Resolution <br />by the Congress of the United Stetes. <br />Fred G. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Anderson explained the sevings that will be made under the new lighting contract Mr. <br />Anderson also stated that he end Mr. Quells were going to Fort Wayne and Gary to make a study, <br />of their elect -ric rates and invited the-Council to go with them.. Councilmen Chambers, Fish,..' <br />J,nmes and Kerner Pccepted. <br />On Motion of Councilmen Bierwagen the Council adjourned at 9:40 O'clock P. 1.1.
