<br />Regular Session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening July 9th, 1934 at
<br />the hour of 8 :20 o'clock P. M. All Members present except Councilman Nelson and Rokop. #max

<br />Xixmt Vice- President Grzeskowiak presided. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and on
<br />Motion of Councilman Hull were accepted as read. Motion-carried.

<br />COMMUNICATION.
<br />Crusade Lodge of Knights of Pythias
<br />- South Bend, Indiana, July 9, 1934.
<br />To the Honorable Common Council, South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />The Lodge of Knights of Pythias of South Bend, Indiana, plans to raffle an automobile
<br />for the benefit of a Children's Home. The raffle will close the 28th day of July, 1934, but
<br />before it can - begin, The Lodge would like to have the permission of the City of South Bend to
<br />display the.Chevrolet:Sedan before the public on some street within the Downtown district.'
<br />The Lodge would appreciate the permission of the Council, to whom it was referred by.the
<br />Board of Public Safety for consideration . The Board of JDSafety has given their permission to
<br />alternate the display_ of the car in front of Kresge's and Woolworth's Five and Ten Ten Stores.

<br />On Motion of Councilman Oakley The Crusade Lodge of Knights of Pythias' was given permission`•:
