<br />in the City Hall, Monday evening June 22nd , 931 at the hour of 7 :35 o'clock P. M. All
<br />members present except Councilmen& Goetz and Oakley. President Nelson_ presided. The
<br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and on Motion of Councilman Hull were referred to
<br />the Committee of the Inspection and Supervision of Minutes. Motion carried.
<br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES.
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your Committee on the inspection Eind supervision of the minutes, would respectfully
<br />report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and
<br />found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved.

<br />To the Common Coucil,,of the City of South Bents: Your Committee of the Whole to whom
<br />was referred An 0. rdltah.ce Relating to the Protection of the Right -of -tray of the NeW York
<br />Central Railroad Company with Lincoln Way West, _a Public Highway in the' City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion
<br />the said Ordinance should be reported Unfavorable, and'sthat the City Attorney be instructed
<br />to draw a, -new ordinance covering the protection of Fassnaeht Street and Lincoln Way West
<br />at their intersection of the right -of -way of the New Fork Central Railroad Company.

<br />Virgil J. Reed, 1222 McCartney Street, South'Bend, Indiana, Contractors. Respectfully
<br />report that they have examined the matter, and that in their opinion the said Ordinance
<br />should be reported favorable. John C. Hiss, Chairman. The report was accepted by the

<br />New York Central'Railroad Company with Lincoln Way West, a Public Highway In the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana.
<br />The ordinance was given its third reading by-title, and was placed upon it.s passage and
<br />was Lost by the following vote: Nelson, Whiteman, Rokop, Hull, Jaworski, Altfeld, Hiss,
<br />Grzeskowiak, Cripe and.Gustin. Ayes O, Nays 10, Ordinance Lost.
