April 27thm, 1931:` <br />REGULAR MEETING. <br />MINUTES. <br />Be it Remembered that the Common Council met in: the Regular Session in the Council <br />Chambers in the.City Hall, Monday evening, April 27th, 1931 at the hour of 7 :45,ololock P M:` <br />All Members present except Councilman Hiss. President Nelson presided. The Minutes of the <br />previous meeating were read,and on Motion of Councilman Hull were referred to the Committee <br />on the Inspection and Supervision of M&MItes.'Motion carried*- <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />The University of Notre Dame acknowledges with thanks your expression or•syrapathy and <br />condolence upon the death--of Mr: Rockne :' <br />The family. of. Knute K:' Rockne deeply appreciate and gratefully acknowledge your comforting <br />expression of sympathy.' <br />Mrs: Archibald McClure Elizabeth and Archibald Junior wish to express their deep gratitude <br />for the love , sympathy and strength which you have shared with them. <br />On Motion of Councilman Hull the Communications were accepted and ordered to be placed on file <br />Motion carried: <br />Communication* <br />The First Presbyterian Church, Washington Avenue and LaFayette Boulevard. <br />South Bend., Indiana.' April 17, 1931:' <br />Dear Friends: The Session of our church has asked me to write y to you expressing our <br />appreciation of your resolutions of sympathy in the death of our minister and mutual freidznd, <br />Rev.' Archixbald MoOlure :' Your word of appreciation for his work and influence in the <br />community is a great comfort to us and it is also helpful to know that we share this great <br />sorrow together.
