<br />THE P &nAENT IN FULL THE FACE VALUE OF ADJUSTED SERVICE CERTIFICATES.
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE - COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH'BEND,AND STATE OF INDIANA, That
<br />the Common.Council of the City of South Bend, and State of Indiana, hereby endorsers and
<br />approvedHouse Resolution 9143 which provide: for the effective darr ingout of the provisions_
<br />of the said bill, whereby the Secretary of,'Treasury of the United tates,; would be: authorized,
<br />empowered., and directed to pay in full, to any veteran applying;, the full face value of' his
<br />adjusted - service certificate.
<br />SEC. 2. That there shall be no time limit within which -the World_'`s War Veterans: should
<br />be re=quired to make application for the issuance of adjusted- service certificate to which they
<br />may be .entitled, or for the payment of the face value of said certificates as provided in
<br />said resolution 9143..
<br />SEC. 3, The Clerk &f the City of South Bend, and State of Indiana, is hereby directed
<br />to transmit a certified,'•tledpy of this resolution to Hon.. Willis C. Hawley, M. C., and
<br />Chairman of the Way m and Means Committee, and to eack Senators and Representatives in Congress:
