In the 1977 CDBG Plan, $105,000.00 was allocated for Redevelopment's ad- ministrative cost. However, only $98,31+.00 was appropriated. Consequently, $6,686.00 remaininn the 1977 CD Redevelopment Administrative Fund. The ap- propriation of these remaining resources is now necessary to extend Redevelopment Administration through the month of July. During previous years, Redevelopment administrative costs were set aside to implement a variety of activities related to the "Continuation of Urban Renewal." Since the financial close -out of the Urban Renewal Project R66 is scheduled for August 1978, we will no longer be able to use "Continuation of Urban Renewal" as a basis for setting aside administrative costs. Rather, Redevelopment administrative costs will have to be tied to specific projects- - e.g., Century Mall. By granting the above requested appropriation, additional time neces- sary to transition Redevelopment to project funding will be provided.
