KOPCZYNSKI Sixth District MARY CHRISTINE ADAMS Since then, many citizens of our community have At Large become actively involved in assuring that mobility RICHARD C. DOMBROWSKI handicapped persons have the opportunity to travel At Large FRANK HORVATH to and from their homes and place of employment. In At Large this pursuit, however, it has become very apparent that parking is a problem for our mobility handicapped persons. There are state laws which address this problem to a degree. However, they only provide assistance in metered areas. As you are aware, by mid -summer most of our parking meters will be removed; thus giving no assistance whatsoever to the mobility handicapped persons. Consequently, I am introducing a bill which would enable the Board of Public Works to designate certain "blue curb" areas to be used exclusively for the mo- bility handicapped person. I believe the bill is another positive step to enable all of our citizens to participate freely in our community. I seek your support. Thank you. Sincerel -y- Rog r Parent
