ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU <br />OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND <br />HITE EQUIPMENT, PLYMOUTH, INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF A 1978 RUBBER TIRED BACKHOE IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF <br />$52,189.00. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />To approve the purchase of a rubber tired backhoe as purchase <br />is required in the operation of the Bureau of Water. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the contract entered into between the Bureau <br />of Water of South Bend, Indiana, and Hite Equipment, Plymouth, Indiana, <br />on the 17th day of April, 1978, pursuant to advertising and receipt of <br />bids as the purchase of same is required in the operation of the Bureau <br />of Water, at a total cost not to exceed $52,189.00, is hereby approved <br />and confirmed. <br />HITE EQUIPMENT COMPANY <br />PLYMOUTH, INDIANA 1978 Rubber Tired Backhoe $52,189.00 <br />SECTION II.
