NEMETH, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />April 14, 1978 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County /City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Vehicle Purchases for the Bureaus of <br />Streets and Traffic and Lighting <br />Dear Councilmen: <br />The attached ordinance requesting $136,500 from the General Revenue <br />Sharing Trust Fund represents that portion of the equipment replace- <br />ment schedules for these Bureaus which was designated for funding out- <br />side the M.V.H. and General Funds last year during budget review. <br />A complete list of those vehicles scheduled for replacement in 1978 is <br />attached. The estimated cost is listed for each item, and in those <br />instances where bids have been received, the proposed award figure is <br />listed. The balance of the replacement vehicles are currently being <br />advertised. <br />219/284 -9251 <br />A total of $136,500 will be required to meet the cost of the 1978 portion <br />of our five -year program. <br />
