r� <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $136,500.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC <br />WORKS PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />In that additional funds are needed by the Bureaus of Streets and Traffic <br />and Lighting to ensure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $136,500.00 is hereby appropriated from the Federal <br />Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. <br />This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public Works and <br />will be distributed as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 156 <br />ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT <br />722.0 Motor Equipment $136,500.00 <br />TOTAL FA 156 $136,500.00 <br />SECTION II.
