<br />12. Political Parties, as defined by Indiana law, their subdivisions,
<br />and their bona fide candidates for public office are specifically
<br />exempted from and shall not be subject to the provisions of this'
<br />ordinance as the intent of the ordinance is to regulate the soli-
<br />citation of charitable contributions.
<br />13. Charitable Solicitations which raise less:than.$500.00 in total contributions

<br />Ordinance before June 26, at which time the public hearing will be continued. Councilman Muszynski
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THAT IT IS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST
<br />TO ACQUIRE THE MASS TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF NORTHERN INDIANA TRANSIT, INC., WHICH SHALL BE A DISTINCT.MUNICIPAL
<br />CORPORATION AND WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS "THE SOUTH BEND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION" AND DEFINING
<br />THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CORPORATION."
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance go to I the Council
<br />as favorable.
