REGULAR MEETING <br />.JUNE 12, 1967 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers in <br />City Hall in Regular Session, Monday, June 12, 1967 at 8:46 P.M. All members were present except Councilmen <br />Hunter and Geib. The meeting was called to order by Vice- President John V. Wise, who presided. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Allen, Palmer, Wise, Szymkowiak, <br />Laven, Smith and Muszynski <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Hunter and Geib <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, woul, <br />examined the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found <br />that the same be approved. <br />/s/ <br />/s/ <br />/s/ <br />Meeting of May 22, 1967 <br />3 respectfully report that they have <br />them correct. They therefore recommend <br />John L. Hunter, Jr. <br />Janet S. Allen <br />Albert E. Palmer <br />There being no objections, the report was accepted as read and placed on file, <br />REPORT OF ORDINANCE COMMITTEE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on Ordinances, to whom was referred "An Ordinance Regulating Solicitation of funds from Residents <br />of the City of South Bend and Providing Penalties Where Such Solicitation Has Been Fraudulently Conducted <br />or Represented ", caused a meeting to occur on the lst day of June, 1967 with Councilmen Laven and Allen in <br />attendance with Councilmen Geib, Hunter and Smith, of your committee plus Mrs. Sessler, Mr. Ledy and Attorneys <br />Noell and Wiseman present; <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion said ordinance should be <br />amended as follows: <br />1.
