124 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall, in Regular Session, on Monday, March 28, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. , with all members present, except <br />Councilmen Geib, Smith and Muszynski. The meeting was called to order by President John L. Hunter, Jr., who <br />presided. President Hunter introduced Reverend Garry Hesser of First Christian Church, who gave the Invocation. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Councilman Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise <br />Szymkowiak, and Laven <br />ABSENT: Councilman Geib, Smith and Muszynski <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and .superikision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they <br />have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. Palmer <br />Meeting of March 14, 1966 <br />There being no objections, the minutes were accepted as read, and placed on file. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />March 15, 1966 <br />Common Council <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />In Re: Petition of Vita F. Earll and Roy E. Douthitt <br />Recently we filed a petition to rezone certain property at 1138 Lincoln Way East in South Bend, Indiana <br />As attorney for Vita F. Earll and Roy E. Douthitt, please accept this letter as official request to <br />have this petition for rezoning withdrawn. <br />Thank you. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />/s/ Charles W. Roemer <br />Attorney for Petitoners <br />There being no objections, the communication was accepted as read. <br />PETITION <br />March 15, 1966 <br />I, the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Common Council to amend the <br />zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, as hereinafter requested, and in support of this application, <br />the following facts are shown. <br />1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at 800 Block N. Twyckenham Dr. <br />2. The property is owned by A. Harold Weber, Inc. <br />3. A legal description of the property is as follows: Lots numbered Two hundered Ninety -three (293), Two <br />Hundred Ninety -four (294), Two Hundred Ninety -five (295, Two Hundred Ninety -six (296), Two- Hundred <br />Ninety -seven (297), Two Hundred Ninety -eight (298), and Two Hundred Ninety -nine (299) in Section B <br />Coquillard Woods, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned: <br />From A District Use and A Height and Area District <br />To B District Use and B Height and Area District. <br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the following building <br />will be constructed: (attached) <br />/s/ A.
