REGULAR MEETING APRIL 12, 1965 <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 6, 1965 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana 26.6. acres, more or <br />less, situated East of Miami Road, South of Ireland Road, North of Jackson Road and contiguous with the present <br />city limits on the north and east sides was legally advertised under date of March 22, 1965 and given public <br />hearing on April 1, 1965. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the <br />six determinants of annexation apply to the area in <br />issue. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and <br />unanimously carried that the petition be recommended <br />favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Robert L. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 6, 1965 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the Crest Manor Development Corporation to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />a rectangular parcel of land lying 400 feet South of the centerline of Jackson Road and 165 feet East of the <br />centerline of York Road, containing 6.88 acres, more or less, was legally advertised under date of March 22,: <br />1965 and given public hearing on April 1, 1965. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the <br />six determinants of annexation apply to the area in <br />issue. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 6, 1965 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the Oxford Development Corporation to rezone from "A" Residential Use to "A -2" <br />Residential Use the property generally described as bounded on the North by Darden Road, on the East by Riverside <br />Drive, on the South by the Northerly boundary of Riverside Manor 2nd Section, and on the West by an extension of <br />Glenview Drive was legally advertised under date of March 22, 1965 and given public hearing on April 1, 1965. <br />The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that due to the <br />shape and location of the subject tract of land, the proposed <br />use would not be in the best interest of the surrounding area, <br />nor would it be the best use of the land.
