REGULAR MEETING APRIL 12, 1965 REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION April 6, 1965 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the Common Council to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana 26.6. acres, more or less, situated East of Miami Road, South of Ireland Road, North of Jackson Road and contiguous with the present city limits on the north and east sides was legally advertised under date of March 22, 1965 and given public hearing on April 1, 1965. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the six determinants of annexation apply to the area in issue. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. Very truly yours, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Robert L. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION April 6, 1965 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the Crest Manor Development Corporation to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana a rectangular parcel of land lying 400 feet South of the centerline of Jackson Road and 165 feet East of the centerline of York Road, containing 6.88 acres, more or less, was legally advertised under date of March 22,: 1965 and given public hearing on April 1, 1965. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the six determinants of annexation apply to the area in issue. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION April 6, 1965 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the Oxford Development Corporation to rezone from "A" Residential Use to "A -2" Residential Use the property generally described as bounded on the North by Darden Road, on the East by Riverside Drive, on the South by the Northerly boundary of Riverside Manor 2nd Section, and on the West by an extension of Glenview Drive was legally advertised under date of March 22, 1965 and given public hearing on April 1, 1965. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that due to the shape and location of the subject tract of land, the proposed use would not be in the best interest of the surrounding area, nor would it be the best use of the land. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended unfavorably to the Council. . Very truly yours, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Robert L.
