That in the opinion of:the Commission the adoption of the proposed amendment at the present time would not promote the general welfare of the City. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE February 10, 1964 To the Common Council of-.:the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 ". (Northwest corner of Linden Ave. & College St.). Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported favorable.. Isl Edwin T. Smith, Chairman Councilman. Glass made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried, REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 3702 ". (142 So. Meade St.) Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance be set for public hearing on February 24th, 1964. Isl Edwin T. Smith, Chairman Councilman Geib madela motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: February 10, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION IN REAL PROPERTY BECAUSE OF RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, RELIGION, OR ANCESTRY BY CERTAIN OWNERS, SELLERS, RENTERS, LESSORS, GRANTORS, LESSEES, GRANTEES, ASSIGNEES, MANAGING AGENTS, REAL ESTATE BROKERS, REAL ESTATE SALESMEN, LENDERS, AND OTHERS. PROVIDING FOR THE RENAMING OF THE SOUTH BEND FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSION, PRESCRIBING ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND POWERS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. Isl Edwin T. REPORT OF HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND Mrs. Kathryn Blough City of South Bend City Hall South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Mrs. Blough: February 6, 1964 Pursuant to the Housing Authorities Act Chapter 207, Acts 1937 as amended which says in part: "At least once a year, an Authority shall file with the Clerk a report of its activities for the proceeding (preceding) year..." we file this report covering the period from January 1, 1963 to December 31, 1963. We hope that the material of this report will be of value to all who are concerned with'the operation of this public service agency. Please feel free to call on the Board or staff for any desired information that you or others may require as to the operation of the Authority. We are grateful for the help that has come from your office as well as that emanating from other City of South departments. We look toward a pleasant and rewarding relationship. Motion carried, The Clerk was instructed to notify Rabbi Albert M. Shulman and Mr. Jesse L. Dickinson to appear at the next meeting of the Council on February 24th to answer questions the Council may have regarding the report.
