tZV <iV 1.I1 GV, 17VJ Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, August 26, 1963, at 10:57 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was call to order by President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Glass, Krueper, Lehman and Muszynski. ABSENT: None. REPORT OF COMMITTEE'ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the Minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. COMMUNICATION Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana Freda G. Noble, City Clerk Dear Freda: August 12, 1963 I wish to acknowledge the "Resolution" received in honor of "Jack" Voelkel. I feel very proud and honored. Jacks life touched a million people and feel sure you will all miss him but no one as greatly as I do. He was the finest gentleman and husband and always tried to do good for his fellowman. His life was Police work and I could have slowed him down, he wouldnt have been such a happy person as he was. Thank you again for being so thoughtful and I do appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. PETITION Petition of Wilford V. Walz as administrator of the estate of Dean Tasher to rezone land at the southeast corner of Michigan and Donmoyer Streets. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
