REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY To Members of the Common Council South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: RE: Coal Dust Complaint April 8, 1963 The matter of the coal dust complaint, transmitted to the Board of Public Works and Safety by the Common Council through the City Clerk, was acted upon by the Board of Public Works & Safety at its regular meeting on April 8, 1963. The following action has been taken: An affidavit, prepared by the City Attorney's Office, has been signed by one of the residents in the affected area, a warrant has been issued by the City Clerk's Office and service of same has been accepted by an officer of the Rose Coal & Fuel Company. ANNUAL REPORT OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT All Councilmen have copies of the Annual Report of the Sewage Treatment Plant. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61, AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, Respectfully report that they have examined the matt and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE. /s/ T. ORDINANCE NO. 4569 - - -63 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61, AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION April 8, 1963 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend, South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of Crest Manor Corporation to zone "A" Residential and "At1 Height and Area District the recently annexed land being generally described as a tract of land situated in the north half of Section 31, T37N, R3E, south of Jackson Road between Miami Road and Ironwood Drive and being bounded on the north and east by the present city limits was legally advertised under date of March 25, 1963 and given public hearing on April 4, 1963. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the requested zoning would be the best zoning for the subject property.
