_9 ORT,.OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: June 26, 1961 Gentlemen: With reference to your Directive dated June 13, 1961 concerning Councilman Muszynski's complaint that inter -city trucks are still using Olive Street even though Sample Street is now completed, the Board of Public Works and Safety considered this matter at its regular meeting of June 19, 1961. The matter was referred to the Police Department for investigation and report and the Department's findings are as follows: After investigation on Olive Street a total of 16 trucks were checked, 15 trucks were making city deliveries, one truck was issued a ticket for being on Truck Route. If additional information is desired concerning the check points made in connection with this matter, officers' repor will be available in the Office of the Board of Public Works and Safety. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF..THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA .(REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF LINCOLNWAY WEST, BETWEEN IOWA AND RYER STREETS.), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN Ordinance creating an Official Building Code for the City of Sout Bend, Indiana, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion It should be returned to the Council for first and second reading and set for public hearing.
