REGULAR MEETING <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING <br />MAY 22, 1961 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, (REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED ON WILLIAMS STREET, NAVARRE STREET, PORTAGE AVENUE) <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance be withdrawn. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. Ordinance withdrawn. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4376 - - -61 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A LEASE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE <br />MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO <br />AS THE t°LESSEE' FOR THE PREMISES DESCRIBED AS: THAT PORTION OF EAST <br />WASHINGTON STREET IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EXTENDING FROM <br />THE ST. JOSEPH RIVER ON THE WEST TO THE EAST RACE ON THE EAST <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM FUND AND THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT FUND $888.48 <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on June 12, 1961., Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN OFFICIAL BUILDING CODE FOR THE CIVIL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance be set for first and second reading at the June 12th meeting <br />of the Council. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. <br />RESOLUTION <br />A Resolution introduced at the May 8th meeting of the Council by Councilman Krueper was set for action for this <br />meeting. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the matter be set over for two weeks. Councilman Muszynski seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Miss Virginia Guthrie introduced Miss Eva Wermter from Frankfort Germany who is an exchange student at St. Marys <br />College. <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion to amend the Resolution proclaiming May 11th, 1961 as Michael DeKovats Day by <br />striking 1961 and inserting "each year ", thereby making May filth each year Michael DeKovats Day. Councilman <br />Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn. Council - <br />man Glass seconded the motion.
