vvVV1 .lVt� -�. ,/VV <br />Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Cooperation Agreement, The Housing Authority of South Bend, <br />Indiana, has requested the City of South Bend, Indiana, to approve a site consisting of approximately Twenty -six (26) <br />acres of ground, lying West if Ironwood Drive between the St. Joseph River and Lincoln Highway East in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, for the purpose of constructing thereon a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately <br />Three Hundred Fifty (350) units; <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Committee of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has inspected said <br />site and has determined that it would be a desirable location for the construction of a low -rent housing project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That a site consist <br />ing of approximately Twenty -six acres of land lying West of Ironwood Drive, between the St. Joseph River, and Lincoln <br />Way East in the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same is hereby approved as a desirable site for a low -rent <br />housing project consisting of approximately Three Hundred Fifty (350) units to be constructed by The Housing <br />Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried by a <br />vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay. Councilman Allen voted in favor of this site. <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROJECT CONSISTING OF A PARCEL OF LAND LYING SOUTH OF THE NEW YORK <br />CENTRAL RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY BETWEEN OLIVE STREET AND THE FIRST ALLEY WEST OF OLIVE STREET <br />IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A LOW RENT HOUSING PROJECT <br />CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 150 UNITS, BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, has heretofore entered into a C000peration Agreement with <br />The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Cooperation Agreement, The Housing Authority of South Bend, <br />Indiana, has requested the City of South Bend, Indiana, to approve a project consisting of a parcel of land comprising <br />approximately Ten and Thirty -nine Hundredths (10.39) acres lying South of the New York Central Railroad Right of Way <br />between Olive Street and the first alley West of Olive Street, and excluding therefrom a parcel of land in the North <br />East corner thereof, presently occupied by a fire house and being in the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the purpose <br />of constructing thereon a low -rent houseing project consisting of approximately 150 units; <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Committee of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has inspected <br />said site and has determined that it would be a desirable location for the construction of a low -rent housing project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That a project <br />consisting of the parcel of land in the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereinabove described, be and the same is hereby <br />approved as a desirable site for a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately 150 units to be constructed <br />by The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
