r.nvu1JC A ru.L+l liNv _ <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />June 8, 1960 <br />The attached petition of Jerome A Osborne to rezone Lots 17 and 18 of the Roseland Park Addition, commonly known as <br />1849 and 1853 East Randolph Street, from "B" Residential Use to "C" Commercial Use was. legally advertised on May 23, <br />1960 and given public hearing under date.of June 2, 1960. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the general character of the neighborhood is <br />residential and that the proposed zone change would result in spot zoning. It was therefore <br />duly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended unfavorably to <br />the Common Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />/s/ Robert L. Huff <br />Director - Secretary <br />City Planning Commission <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Huff: <br />June 1, 1960 <br />IN RE: Petition of Clarence W. and Martha Dockery <br />for rezoning - Hearing before City Plan <br />Commission June 2, 1960 <br />Because of certain information which is not available at this time, our clients, Clarence W. and Martha Dockery, <br />have decided to withdraw their petition as filed by them and -as now set for hearing on June 2, 1960, before the <br />City Plan Commission of the City of South Bend, On ?theit "tehhlf;"thepefore, we now request that the petition of <br />Clarence W. and Martha Dockery be withdrawn and that no hearing be had on the same at the - public hearing before the <br />City Plan Commission on June 2, 1960. <br />At such time as is determined to be suitable, Mr. and Mrs. Dockery will file a further petition respecting the same <br />real estate and for its rezoning. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(REAL ESTATE INVOLVED LOCATED AT 1215 SOUTH BEND AVENUE) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Ladewski made a motion that <br />the Ordinance be set for public hearing on June 27, 1960. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SOUTH BEND - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />BUILDING AUTHORITY, $13,500.00 <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on June 27, 1960. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ALIENATION AND CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY <br />BELONGING TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Allen made a motion for sus- <br />pension of rules. Upon roll call, the motion was lost. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the Ordinance be set <br />for Public Hearing on June 27, 1960. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, City Engineer reported on test borings that were made on West Washington. He explained the <br />results of the borings to the Council.
