A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FORM OF CONTRACT AMENDING THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT OF .
<br />SEPTEMBER 11, 195611 AS AMENDED MAY 15, 1957 and AUGUST 13, 1959, BETWEEN THE
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA
<br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, has heretofore entered into a Cooperation Agreement with The Housing
<br />Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana, which said Cooperation Agreement dated September 11, 1956, was amended
<br />by Amendatory Contracts dated May 15, 1957, and August 13, 1959, and it has now become desirable to further amend
<br />said Cooperation Agreement;
<br />NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That the Cooperation
<br />Agreement dated September 11, 1956, as amended May 15, 1957 and August 13, 1959, between the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, and The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same is hereby further amended
<br />as follows:
<br />Sub - section (a) of Section 1 of said Cooperation Agreement dated September 11, 1956, as amended, shall read as
<br />follows:
<br />"(A) The term 'Project' shall mean any low -rent housing not in excess of Six Hundred (600) units hereafter
<br />developed as an entity by the Local Authority with financial assistance by the Public Housing Administration."
<br />FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proper officers of the City of South Bend, Indiana, are hereby authorized and in-
<br />structed to execute the agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto.
<br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Passed by the Common Council
<br />this 11 day of Aril, 1960.

<br />AMENDMENT TO COOPERATION AGREEMENT
<br />THIS AMENDMENT entered into as of the 11 day of April , 1960, by and between tke City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, (hereinafter called the "Municipality ") and The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
<br />(hereinafter called the "Local Authority, "), WITNESSETH:
<br />WHEREAS, the parties - hereto have entered into a Cooperation Agreement dated September 11, 1956, which said
<br />Cooperation Agreement was amended by Amendatory Agreements between the parties dated May 15, 1957, and August 13,
<br />1959; and
<br />WHEREASm the parties hereto desire to further amend said Cooperation Agreement in the particulars hereinafter
<br />set forth:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree that Sub - section (a) of Section 1 of said Cooperation
<br />Agreement dated September 11, 1956, as amended May 15, 1957, and August 13, 1959, shall be and it is hereby amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />"(a) The term 'Project' shall mean any low -rent housing not in excess of Six Hundred (600) units
<br />hereafter developed as an entity by the Local Authority with financial assistance by the Public Housing
<br />Administration."
<br />Except as amended herein and by said amendments dated May 15, 1957, and August 13, 1959, said Cooperation
<br />Agreement dated September 11, 1956, shall, in all other respects, remain and be in full force and effect.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to be executed in their respective names
<br />and their respective seals to be impressed hereon and attested as of the day and year first above written.

<br />Councilman Muszynski moved for adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried
<br />by a roll call vote of S ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman).
<br />OLD BUSINESS
<br />Councilman Muszynski suggested that there be a meeting of the Traffic Committee of the Council, the traffic Engineer,
<br />and the Olive Street residents, after complaining of excessive truck traffic on Olive Street.
